Beautiful Scenery in Japan
In this blog, I will gradually introduce some of the beautiful scenery of Japan that I have photographed myself over the years.
This is a photograph of Dakigaeri Valley in Akita Prefecture.
It is a place where you can enjoy magnificent nature, a beautiful river, and waterfalls. However, it is located in a rather rural area and is difficult to reach without a car, so there are relatively few visitors and you can take your time enjoying the natural surroundings.
By the way, do you know how much of Japan is covered by forests? Some people from overseas may think of Japan as a small island country made up mostly of urban areas, but in fact, approximately 70% of Japan’s land area is covered by forests.
Furthermore, when you compare Japan with European countries, the country stretches roughly as far from north to south as the distance from Denmark to Spain, giving Japan a wide variety of climates and natural environments.
In recent years, Japan’s rural areas and more remote, unexplored destinations seem to have become increasingly popular among international travelers. There are many places throughout Japan where you can experience magnificent natural scenery, and there are also many such places in regional cities. If you have the time, I highly recommend visiting some of these places as well.
