Beautiful Scenery in Japan
In this blog, I will gradually share beautiful photographs of Japan’s landscapes, all taken by me over the years. I hope you enjoy discovering the many scenic places that Japan has to offer.
This photograph captures the beautiful autumn scenery of Appi Kogen Ski Resort in Iwate Prefecture, northern Japan.
Appi Kogen Ski Resort is a highly regarded ski destination. It was named Japan’s Best Ski Resort at the World Ski Awards in both 2022 and 2023, winning the title for two consecutive years.
Although the resort’s original hotel is somewhat dated, an InterContinental hotel has also opened right next door. There are also pensions and hot springs nearby. After a day of skiing, nothing beats relaxing in a Japanese hot spring. If you visit the area, I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself.
Interestingly, Harrow International School Appi Japan opened nearby in 2022. Although Appi Kogen is located in a rural area, you can often see international visitors and residents here, giving the area a surprisingly international atmosphere.
While you are in the area, be sure to stop by HOUSE APPI, a bakery, restaurant, and grocery store. Their bread is delicious, and it is well worth a visit.
I will continue sharing many more photographs of Japan’s beautiful landscapes, so please stay tuned for future posts!
Thank you for visiting my blog, and I hope you enjoy exploring Japan through my photographs.
